Friday night, poor Palmer looked like this.
He came down with his first fever. Poor guy was miserable. Saturday morning, we took the boys to the doctor. So thankful that our pediatrician's office is open for sick appointments for 2 hours on Saturdays. I was prepared to have to wait for long time, but luckily we got right in.
The good news was that he didn't have an ear infection or strep throat. The bad news is that it was just a virus and we would just have to wait it out. We mentioned to the doctor that his party was planned for Sunday, and she said he would technically be contagious until he was 24 hours fever free.
So we waited until 2:00pm Saturday to make the call....exactly 24 hours before his party. Poor buddy's temperature was 102.5. I was so sad to cancel, but I texted all our friends coming to the party and told them the situation. I was sad to tell them all not to come, but I wouldn't want to get anyone sick.
The blessing is that we still had a perfect party with family... my mom, Brandon, Stacey and Grey, Erica, Matt and Lily Claire.
