Flashback: Palmer's Atlanta Shower

We recently had the pleasure of celebrating Palmer at his Atlanta shower.  My precious friends Ashley, Dana, and Karen hosted the shower.  They took care of all the details and it was such a special afternoon.

The petit fours were melt in your mouth delicious...and adorable too!  There were yummy cheese straws, fruit kabobs, pasta salad, pinwheel sandwiches, and amazing chocolate cookies.  Oh and the punch might be the best punch I've ever had!

Aren't these flowers just gorgeous?

The three little hostesses were a delight!

My mom and I in front of the pretty table!

Me and the three beautiful hostesses! Thanks girls for making me feel so special!

The message on the chalkboard was such a special treat!

Matching pj's for Beau and Palmer!

Look at this precious burlap sign for the nursery!

Thanks to so many special friends for making it such a perfect day!

Flashback: Palmer's Family Shower

A couple of weeks ago, baby Palmer was given a special shower in Nashville. It was such a wonderful time to celebrate his upcoming arrival.

My cousin Brittany and her daughter Isabella were testing out the delicious food!

My cousin Sarah is showing off the onesies...just waiting to be decorated.

The food table was perfect and everything was so yummy!

Beau enjoyed checking out the new stuff!

My childhood best friend, Jessica, is expecting twins this fall! Yippee!

Isabella was a little artist and made some adorable onesies for Palmer.

Stacey did some awesome work with the stamps.

Aunt Angie was stealing a hug from Beau.

Flashback: Adoptive Moms' Dinner

Ok...so I am way behind on posts.  I usually prefer to blog in "real time" but sometimes that just isn't possible.  So I'm going to do a few flashback posts to get caught up!

A few weeks ago, I had the honor to fellowship with other Korean adoptive moms from all over the country.  Many of these moms I "knew" through blogs, face*ook, adoption forums, etc., but it is always a treat to get to know people in real life.

Motherhood is such a special journey, and adoptive moms seem to have a special connection based on shared experiences.  These adoptive moms were all coming to Atlanta for an adoption retreat, and we met for dinner at a delicious Korean restaurant the night before the conference began.

Baby Palmer Update

Today marks 31 weeks of pregnancy and baby Palmer is just a moving and a shaking.

We had an ultrasound today and found out that he is 4 pounds 3 ounces, which is 63rd percentile.  I was shocked, in a good way of course.  You see, we were not actually supposed to have any more ultrasounds, so this was kind of a bonus one.

Last week at my 30 week appointment, I was measuring between 27 1/2 and 28 weeks... about 2 weeks behind.  So my doctor wanted to do an ultrasound just to double check that Palmer was growing appropriately.  I had prepared myself that he might be a bit on the small side.  I mean sweet Beau hovers around the 3rd percentile for height and weight, so we are no stranger to small.  So when I heard Palmer was in the 63%, I was pleasantly surprised.  Yippee Jesus for a growing, healthy boy!  I will take both of my boys in any size or shape!

Palmer was head down during the appointment.  The nurse practitioner said that he might stay that way for the duration of the pregnancy because it is a comfortable position for him, but with 9 weeks to go there is of course no way to be sure.  He could move positions every day between now and then, so we will just have to wait and see how he ends up.

Thank you Jesus for a growing boy!
