Weekend Recap

Last weekend we enjoyed watching the Super Bowl with baby Grey! Here are a few pictures from our weekend in Birmingham!
Beau loves meat! LOL! No really, he does.  Here he is watching Brandon get the steaks ready.

Tasting a vegetable from Mimi!

Helping stir the vegetables!

Beau loves to cook!

Sweet Boy

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you will remember me posting about Jin-wu here and here.  It was my joy to host a very small fundraiser for him last year in honor of his birthday.

This time last year he was matched with a family.  Unfortunately due to personal reasons in the family, they were unable to proceed with the adoption and Jin-wu is now once again available for adoption.

I will turn the big 3-0 in April, and I plan to host another fundraiser on his behalf.  Sweet boy just turned 6 years old this month.  I am hoping to get 30 people (in honor of my 30th) to donate $6 or more (in honor of his 6th birthday) to his Reece's Rainbow account.

Please pray that God would open doors wide open for his forever family so that there is no choice other than to step forward in faith towards their son.  Sweet boy deserves a forever family!

February 4th

February 4th will always be a special day for us!

Two years ago on this day we saw Beau's face for the very first time!

This cute little face popped up in my email in box.  I just knew we had to request his file that day! And of course the rest is history.

A Big Day

Today was a big day in our house! Beau said several two word phrases!

"help please"

"all done"

"Roll Tide"

We have learned that there is no need to rush our little guy, because he ventures through life at a pace that is just right for him!  And we are perfectly content with that.  But it also means that we have extra reason to celebrate when he shows us something new!  When he took his first steps at 19 months, you better believe we were his biggest cheerleaders!  And now at 2 1/2 he is starting to put two words together! We have always understood Beau, whether he could use words or not, but it will be such a treasure to hear him communicate more of what is going on his smart little mind!

Beau, you are fearfully and wonderfully made and we love you!
