Three years ago today, we saw this picture for the first time.
I still remember the moment. I was at school and an email from our agency came through with several pictures and short bios of children with varying degrees of medical concerns.
Si-won immediately caught my eye and captured my heart.
I instantly forwarded the email to Raleigh and asked if he thought we should request his file.
He agreed we should. We had one week to decide whether or not we wanted to pursue him as our son.
Although we went through the motions of having multiple specialists review his file, I knew he was ours from the moment I saw him.
