"An invisible red thread connects those destined to meet,
regardless of time, place or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but never break."
Above is an ancient Chinese proverb that is often used in the adoption community. Here is our story of a striped hoodie a red thread.
While we were waiting on Beau to come home, he was often wearing a striped hoodie in the pictures we received.

When Beau came home we were so thankful for everything that his foster family sent in his blue Holt bag. We eagerly looked through the bag, hoping to find the striped jacket that we had grown to love.
Unfortunately, the adorable jacket did not come home with Beau. I must admit that I was disappointed.
Fast forward about a year. As I was looking on an agency's waiting child photolisting, I saw a boy wearing the same jacket! The wheels in my mind started turning. I was hoping to find a family that shared Beau's foster family and the hoodie might just be our clue!
Once the little boy was matched with a family, I did quite a bit of investigating and was able to get in contact with his family! Sure enough, the little boy was the next foster child of Beau's foster family!
That special hoodie was our red thread! If Beau had come home with the jacket, we would have never been able to connect with this family. God knew best, as He always does.
Sadly, the family is still waiting for their son to come home. Due to significant changes in the Korean adoption laws, there has been quite a slow down in children coming home. Thankfully, the family is traveling to Korea later this month for their first trip. (2 trips are now required) They are graciously taking a small care package for us and will deliver it to Beau's foster family! Yippee!
We are so happy to have a small connection to Beau's foster family through this other family. Hoping their son is home very soon!
Thankful for our striped hoodie red thread!
