Happy {a few days late} birthday to the best mom in the world!
My mom really is an amazing woman and I know that anyone who knows her agrees! She is a gem.
She really is a woman of many talents.
She can catch a fly with her bare hands. She built a wooden swing in her backyard by herself. She has a bright green thumb and always has beautiful plants/flowers in the yard. She can sew pillows and curtains and always made curtains for my classrooms. She let her cosmetology licence expire, but she is very skilled at cutting hair. She worked her way from the mail room to the board room at work. She has her doctorate. The list really goes on and on.
But most importantly, she loves well.
She loves her family fiercely. My mom and dad had a marriage that few are blessed enough to experience... 32+ years of wedded bliss. My mom joyfully lived out her wedding vows and loved my dad during all seasons of life. My parents created over 30 years of wonderful memories together. When my dad became sick, my mom was by his side every step of the way. Being a caretaker is a ministry of love. She was by his side for every appointment, every come back, every set back, and everything in between.
Mom, I love you and celebrate you and I am so thankful for you! You have always been there for me and you still are. When I was little, you let me style your hair and even let me use mousse and hairspray. You played countless hours of barbies with me. You've given me so many manicures and pedicures. You supported my years of cheerleading, helped me decorate my college dorm room when I thought there was no hope of making it look nice, and you and dad planned the most amazing wedding any girl could hope for. Beau and Palmer are so blessed to call you Nana! Even now, you are teaching me how to be a good mom. And even though I'm 30 (yikes) I still have fun getting ready in your bathroom and using all of your fancy makeup! Thanks for always sharing everything you have.
Mom, you are LOVED! You are CELEBRATED! You are SPECIAL!
Happy Birthday!
I'm glad we were able to celebrate your birthday with a trip to Gentry's Farm!
