Palmer {at 4 months}

Little Palmer is already a big 4 months old! How can it be? 

Here are his 4 month stats:

13 lbs 3 oz
25 inches long

And just for fun: At the same age Beau was 14 lbs 8 oz and 23 inches long.  At 4 months old I was 12 lbs 14 oz and 24 3/4 inches.

Palmer's eyes are still blue...I'm not sure if they will turn dark or stay blue, but they are bright blue for now.  His hair is sandy blonde with a shade of red in it.  In the sunlight, it looks really red.  To be honest he still doesn't have too much hair, but I can see little baby hairs starting to grow on the sides.

Palmer loves to coo and laugh.  Raleigh and Beau are the best at making him laugh.  He loves to play peek-a-boo and that almost always makes him smile.

He found his feet this month and loves to play with them.

He can roll from belly to back &  from back to belly, although back to belly is definitely more challenging.

He is reaching and grabbing a lot these days and will grab and hold anything in reach so I have to be careful with my jewelry! He also is loving putting things in his mouth.  I'm not sure if it is early signs of teething or not, but he loves to gnaw things with his gums.

He has really been improving his head control this month and can lift and hold his head really steadily for longer periods of time.

We know it is time to stop swaddling him, but boy does he love it!  We are trying to transition from swaddling to a sleep sack, but so far he is not so sure. :) He still has his startle reflex which wakes him up if he isn't swaddled.

Palmer is still eating every 2-3 hours, except during the night.

Big brother Beau is the best brother to Palmer! Beau is always checking on Palmer and making sure he is ok.  They make a great team and I think they will be best friends!
