Do you watch American Pickers? Raleigh and I love that show. Since we were in Nashville for a few days, we decided to visit their Nashville store.
We had no idea it was such a destination spot. When we arrived, this is the line we saw!
There were people in line from neighboring states that had come to Nashville to check out this store.
Raleigh, Beau and Nana were ready to stick it out in line.
After we had been in line a few minutes, one of the employees came out and told us the estimated wait time was about 30 minutes from the back of the line. The store is actually very small and so they only allow a certain number of people in at a time.
Once you make it to the front of the line, you can have your picture made in the sign. I made Raleigh do it even though he thought it was totally cheesy!
This is how memories are made, right?! LOL!
I thought this arrow was really cool.
Isn't this clock neat? It was be cool in a coffee shop or something! It would be an awesome statement piece in home with a large wall.
I have a thing for furniture with lots of little drawers. I just think they are so neat!
I thought the piece above would be really awesome in a shabby chic bathroom. I could see fluffy, white towels stacked up neatly. The drawers would make great storage for extra toiletries.
More drawers:)
I know I recently saw a design show on HGTV and they used a light just like this.
Beau was happy as a lark just munching on some chips.
I really loved this little green cabinet, but it was $450! Totally out of my price range!
After our fun morning at Antique Archaeology, we met Pipi for lunch.
Then we came home and made strawberry cupcakes! Yum!
There was a little rain shower while Beau was napping. He was thrilled to go outside and jump in the puddles!
For the record, Raleigh does not approve of Beau being outside in just his diaper! LOL! I say, he's 2 and it's cute!
Saturday night we went to the fair! It was Beau's first trip to a fair!
Above is Snow Bird. If you are from Nashville, you know that Snow Bird is a local celebrity! You see, when I was a little girl I would cross my fingers that Snow Bird would announce that my school was closed for a snow day! And growing up in Nashville, sometimes you would get a snow day or two, if there was a threat of snow! There didn't have to necessarily be snow on the ground for schools to close.
This was the 4-H winning pumpkin! Fun Fact: When I was in 4th grade, I won the 4-H biscuit contest!
Did you know that 4-H has a Little Debbie snack contest? Little Debbie snakcs were a fun part of my childhood! Wait, who am I kidding? Little Debbies are still part of my adult life! LOL!
Beau and his dad had fun eating their fair food and watching the ponies.
We met up with my cousins Erica and Kaitlin...and their boys too!
Look who we rain into? Beau wasn't so sure of him. Well, actually he didn't like it at all.
Aren't they cute?
I think this was our only family picture from the night. If we look tired, we were. It was getting close to 10:00, which is a late night out for us. When did we get so old that we look so tired at 10:00??
I'm sure kids love this, but I thought it was pretty funny. It was a big play area of corn kernels. Ha! Ha! We opted to pass on letting Beau try it.
Beau did have lots of fun checking out the animals.
What a fun Saturday!
Love this post--what a fun day and great photos! We used to go to the fair every year when I was growing up. We entered the 4-H exhibits, etc., too! So jealous that you won the biscuit competition--congrats! ;o) I used to love to walk by the biscuit demonstrations when they were giving out samples. So yummy!
